12 Days Kenya Tanzania Budget Safari

Early breakfast as our Kenya Tanzania budget safari itinerary is scheduled for a full day safari experience in the Masai Mara game reserve. We depart with packed picnic lunches to enable us to have an extensive game drive in all parts of Masai Mara. A game drive to Mara River or Sand River is highly recommended, here is where the annual migration crossing takes place. After breakfast enjoy an optional cultural tour visiting the local Maasai people to interact with the Maasai warriors, women, and children. The cultural tour will enable you to take great pictures with the local community as many as you wish, learn about jungle survival from the warriors, and join the dances. Later depart Masai Mara via Narok and Lake Naivasha for an optional activity and later driver to arrive in Nakuru city in time for check‑in, dinner, and overnight.

Breakfast then depart the hotel with a short drive to Lake Nakuru National Park which is a beautiful wildlife haven. The Park hosts Lake Nakuru, an ideal place for bird watching—flamingos, pelicans, and a great number of bird species on its shore. In addition, more game drives on the mainland as we search for the endangered rhino species, Rothschild giraffe, lions, leopards, zebras, and buffalos among other wild animals. We specify our Kenya Tanzania budget safari, exit Lake Nakuru National Park, drive to Amboseli via Nairobi, and stop for a hot lunch. We arrive at Amboseli National Park accommodation property in the late evening for check in, dinner, and overnight.

Amboseli National Park is the second‑visited Kenya safari destination after Masai Mara. The Park offers great and immense views of Mount Kilimanjaro which has the highest peak in the African region. After breakfast we enjoy a short optional nature walk with camp staff to see the giraffe and have a good viewpoint of Mt. Kilimanjaro. We traverse all the areas in search of the wild animals that call Amboseli National Park home. The day will be characterized by up‑close encounters with wild animals. By late evening exit Amboseli National Park and drive to the camp for optional activity, dinner, and overnight.

Early breakfast, check out and drive for the final Kenya Tanzania budget safari segment in Kenya. Start the game drive from Kimana Gate en route to Mashenani Gate exiting at the same time as you entered the park the previous day. Drive to Namanga border for immigration then shuttle bus to Arusha. After checking in relax and spend the late afternoon and evening on your own either discovering the streets of Arusha or later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Tarangire National Park has the highest concentration of African elephants in the whole of Northern Tanzania Parks and the land is also covered by the largest massive baobab trees. We depart the campsite with a packed picnic lunch and then follow the direction of the massive migration. We make several stop‑overs to see the Serengeti Kopjes and search for the pride of lions. Visit the hippo pools, Grumeti River, and other known attractions of Serengeti National Park. Break for a picnic lunch in the middle of the wilderness, then we take a route that leads to Central Serengeti with more game drive. Late evening we reach our accommodation property with a thrilling safari experience for dinner and overnight.

Breakfast then embark on our final Kenya Tanzania budget safari game drive in Serengeti National Park. We cover the central area, Mawe area en route to the main registration gate. The guide will decide if you have your picnic lunch before exit or after you exit Serengeti National Park. A stop‑over at the Olduvai Gorge Museum is an optional activity at an extra USD 45 per person. We proceed further to arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservancy area for an optional activity, dinner, and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater sits in a protected area that is administered by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. We grab our tickets from the main gate and descend with a thrilling game drive. Down at the crater rim, we enjoy more game drive as we search for the mammals, among them the few remaining black rhinos. Early in the morning or after breakfast get a transfer to Arusha – Nairobi shuttle bus scheduled to arrive in Nairobi between 14:00 hrs and 14:30 hrs. Upon arrival, we will arrange your transfer to your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a flight to other safari destinations. Alternatively, from Arusha you will get a transfer to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport; shared cost applies for solo travelers.
